El-Train is a Heartless, Soulless, Corporate Pile of Shit!

While El-Train (a friend of Demented Tiger who sold his soul to the corporate devil, Calpine) sits in his apartment, fishing from his couch and drinking beer, this poor guy (read this link or you won't understand the post) is over at the YMCA trying to catch some zzzzz's while ping pong balls fly at his bunk. When El-Train will be moving into his new, nice, posh townhouse near downtown, this nice elderly gentlemen will probably be on his way back to Ohio with nothing to show for his trip to our fine city other than a huge Calpine footprint right on his ass.

If El-Train had any shred of decency left in his otherwise soulless being, he would pass a hat around Calpine and get this guy his $8,000 that he was told he would get. Or at least buy him lunch at the sandwich shop that he hides out in when it's raining. How do you live with yourself El-Train?

In other business news, kudos to Marathon Oil for having such a stellar quarter. That's really what the good old portfolio needed right now! And way to go Baker! That stock buyback program I got in on is really starting to pay dividends!

Maria vs. Ana

I caught a little bit of the Australian Open Final this past weekend. Maria won the title, but in the process the world's eyes were opened to the next up and coming female tennis player who is hot and can actutally play, unlike this tennis player who is just hot. It seemed to me that, on the court and without the help of make-up or touch ups, Ana smoked Maria. It wasn't even really close. Those of you who watched the match would probably agree with me on this. I want your opinion. Vote!

Say It Ain't So OSI!

According to this lady, Osi Umenyiora is a sick dude. I suppose what he does behind closed doors is his business, but when that includes shitting and pissing places other than in the toilet or a hole in the ground you have to be a little concerned. Hey, so long as he gets to Brady on Sunday he's good with me. I personally don't recommend doing this, but if you want to you can go to Osi's favorite website.

Somebody should introduce Osi to this fine young lady.

Cool Blogs/Sites

I'll start with the greatest university on the planet, LSU. The best site for LSU news and notes is DandyDon. It may not be the quickest with breaking news, but you can rely on the information he posts. If it is rumor, he always makes sure to qualify it as such. I can't stand places that site "sources" and give total bull shit info. Don is an older gentlemen and has great stories to tell. I thoroughly enjoy his site.

The best general sports based site with a twist is called Hot Clicks from Sports Illustrated. They also have a college version called Campus Clicks.

For sports blogs that often times have little do to with sports, nobody does it better than my boys over at 1560. You can get some Lance Zierlein with his chronicle blog or his alter ego here. If you are a Jim Rome fan you may know the Cablinasian, 5 time Smack-Off winner. He has a pretty sweet blog. Richard Justice also has a blog, but his impenetrable man love for Bud Selig makes me sick, so I very seldom look at it.
